CHAMPAGNE BONNET-PONSON
A Champagne house that works biodynamically in the Montagne de Reims, letting the terroir speak for itself. We wanted the website to do the same.
Cyril Bonnet runs the house with one clear aim: to let the terroir speak as directly as possible. The wines are made biodynamically, with minimal intervention – indigenous yeasts, careful vinification, and real respect for the fruit.
We didn't give the site a new visual language. The pieces were already there, so the work was to refine and unify them: clearer structure, simpler compositions, more space on the page.
Organic forms from the labels run through the site, echoing the fossilised shells found in the local soil – a quiet nod to the ground the wines come from. Each section opens with a drop cap, which gives the reading an old, almost baroque rhythm without making a show of it.
Fossils in the Frame
We also art-directed the new product photography. The brief was for images that felt tactile and grounded, so we brought in fossils collected from the vineyards and set them alongside the bottles.
The results are clean and quiet, with no gloss – just the bottles and the same ground the wine comes from.
