SKIPPERHUSET FREDENSBORG
The restaurant sits in listed buildings on Esrum Lake, behind Fredensborg Palace. The identity had to match the cooking and the wine list without fighting the setting.
Skipperhuset is just behind Fredensborg Palace, in a group of listed buildings long tied to the lake and the royal estate – a landscape used for court life and for excursions into the forest for centuries.

We refined the identity to match the restaurant's cooking and its Star Wine List: a redesigned logo, new typography and colour palette, and a new website, consistent across print and screen.

We've kept working with them since, on newsletters, campaigns, and announcements in print and online.

One detail we're fond of: a set of custom steel signs with cut-out logos, colour-matched to the Danish Nature Agency's own signage so they sit into the forest rather than stand out against it.
DRAWN FROM THE LAKE
For social media, newsletters and campaigns, we painted a set of ink and watercolour illustrations by hand, in the brand's deep green. The motifs follow the surface of Esrum Lake – painted loosely, and left a little soft against the more formal parts of the identity.
