You craft some of the world’s most renowned cuvées
We create bold identities that make you and your bottles stand out
About us
We're a Copenhagen based design duo
Copenhagen is a bit far! But we, Cecilie Toklum & Robert Larsen, make it to the Champagne region 3-4 times a year. In fact, we’ll be around till mid-december 2024.
Champagne Bourgeois-Diaz sought to refresh their visual identity while preserving few elements from the previous design. We modernized the style with a classic touch to reflect both innovation and tradition.
The redesign centers on a distinctive logo inspired by the Marne river, enriching the domaine's land and wines. Updated etiquettes for each cuvée complete the look, capturing the spirit and taste of the wine. The latest additions to the range, Les Justices and Les Bien Aimées, feature etiquettes with a custom brand icon pattern and elegant thread and wax closures, making these bottles truly stand out.
‘‘Since updating our brand and etiquettes, our sales have been growing. We highly recommend Formgiverne to handle your visual identity.‘‘
— Charlotte & Jérôme Bourgeois, Champage Bourgeois-Diaz
TIME FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER
CLIENT: BRUNO BIENAIMÉ
AREA: Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, JURA, FRANCE
Jura winemaker Bruno Bienaimé decided to leave the AOC, because of that he looked to update his brand and etiquettes for his cuvées, starting with his Chardonnay and Savagnin. Since he is no longer permitted to use the names of the grapes, we developed anagram names for them. Retaining the original color schemes for the cuvées and introduced a new layered background graphic that complements the angles of the brand element.
‘‘I needed a fresh look and cuvée naming system, which Formgiverne created for me. I’m very pleased with the work we’ve accomplished together and look forward to what the future holds!‘‘

Celebrating the Champagne Revolution
Client: Collection Aline / Aline Serva
AREA: Champagne, France
Collection Aline is the result of a collaboration among several artisan winemakers — like Vincent Charlot, Olivier Horiot, Leclerc Briant, Bourgeois-Diaz and Aurélien Lurquin — and Aline Serva. This very limited series features vintages, with each contributor sharing their expertise and knowledge. The collection exemplifies what many refer to as the Champagne revolution — a gentle, natural movement free from pesticides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers.
“Cecilie and Robert created the identity for my ongoing Champagne Collection. I chose them for their unique style, sensibility, and attention to detail. I can recommend them to anyone in need of graphic design.”

Bottle one of five hundred
Client: Champagne Domaine De Bichery
AREA: Côte des Bar, Champagne, France
Champagne Domaine De Bichery crafted a limited edition of 500 bottles for their Blanc de Noir 2017 cuvée, named “Désir Noir”. Each etiquette features a unique slice of a large artwork created by us at the domaine, located in Neuville sur Seine in the Aube region of Champagne. The painting is a hand-painted rendition of the domaine’s logo, depicting their vineyards as seen from one of the vineyard plots.
‘‘We’re thrilled with our limited Blanc de Noir 2017 cuvée! Each etiquette forms part of a beautiful 500-piece canvas. The film documenting the process has people talking, adding to the unforgettable experience!‘‘
— Hannah & Raphael Piconnet, Champagne Domaine De Bichery
Pure Wines Seeking aN ARTISTIC and Natural Look
CLIENT: WIENGUT BENZINGER / EXTRA BRUT VINIMPORT
AREA: Pfalz, GERMANY / LANGÅ, DENMARK
Pfalz-based winemaker Benzinger produces clean, quality wines, but his standard labels don’t quite match the chic, natural wine aesthetic of Copenhagen’s wine bars. To address this, his Danish importer requested permission to create custom labels for the Danish market. Currently, a Riesling, Pinot Noir, and Rosé with these new designs are available. We created hand-drawn illustrations and handwritten text for each label, giving the wines a more inviting, artisanal look that aligns better with the natural wine scene.
“I’ve loved Weingut Benzinger’s wines and have been importing them for several years. Despite their great value and quality, I initially found them challenging to sell due to the original label design. Since switching to the more handcrafted style Cecilie and Robert created, Benzinger’s wines have become staples in many wine bars and restaurants across Copenhagen and throughout Denmark.”
